A 4th man has been convicted of the brutal murder of Geeta Aulakh.

Jaswant Singh Dillon was remanded in custody today at West London Magistrates, and will stand trial with the other 3 men at the Old Bailey on October 18th this year. The other 3 men are Ms Aulakh’s estranged husband Harpreet Aulakh, 32, Sher Singh, 19, of Wren Avenue, Southall, and Harpreet Singh, 20, of Elmwood Road, Slough, Berkshire.

It defies belief that 4 grown men participated in the murder of this defenceless young woman.

The trial will provide a lot of the answers, but if these men are convicted they must face the full penalty. It is despicable that a young woman should be murdered in this brutal way.

MixTogether & Friends will be following the trial closely in October.

Geeta Aulakh: Another man arrested on suspicion of murder.

According to the Ealing Gazette, another man has been arrested for Geeta Aulakh‘s murder:

A 20-year-old was picked up by police in Slough on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. He is currently in custody at a west London police station.

Geeta Aulakh, 28, was found dying from head wounds in Braund Avenue, Greenford. She died in Charing Cross Hospital hours later on November 16.

Her estranged husband and another man are due to appear at the Old Bailey charged with murder on October 18.

[A 4th man] man remains on police bail after being arrested in December on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

Sher Singh, the second person arrested, is approximately 18 years old. If another man of 20 has been arrested then this must have been a group attack.

How were these young men corrupted into taking part in such a savage attack on a defenceless woman?

What could possibly be the incentive for young men at the start of their lives to commit this crime?

Geeta Aulakh, who worked at Sunrise Radio, pictured with her estranged husband Harpreet Aulakh. His trial for her murder begins in October.

We are currently getting a lot of visitors looking for information on the trial of Harpreet Aulakh and Sher Singh for the murder of Geeta Aulakh last year.

At the time of Harpreet Aulakh and Sher Singh‘s arrests, the press reported that the trial for Geeta Aulakh‘s murder would begin on 1st March.

The CPS has confirmed to MixTogether & Friends that the date has now been moved back significantly.

There will be a Review Hearing on the 21st May, but the main trial is not scheduled to begin until the 18th of October.

This is a blow for all of us who were hoping for swift justice. However, it is better for the Police and CPS to take the time to form a concrete case that will result in a successful conviction.

We will keep you informed of anything else we find out.

Thanks to the CPS for their help in producing this report.

Was Geeta Aulakh killed with a Sikh Kirpan?

18 year old Sher Singh of Wren Avenue, Southall, will appear at Ealing Magistrates Court today, charged with the murder of Geeta Aulakh.

Before Sher Singh was charged, the Guardian reported:

Senior sources believe the 28-year-old was held down by more than one assailant and struck repeatedly with either a sabre or a machete as she went to pick up her two sons from their childminder…

…The Guardian understands that detectives have been given a detailed account of the attack by a handful of key witnesses.

In the frenzied assault, Aulakh was struck repeatedly around the head with the sabre-like weapon. She fought for her life, sustaining a serious wound to her right hand which severed it from her arm, leading to speculation that it was cut off deliberately in some sort of religious ritual. The suggestion is a distraction, sources say. The wound was a classic defence injury against an assault with a long, extremely sharp weapon.

The description of a ‘sabre’ or ‘sabre-like weapon’ is very distinctive in a police report. A sabre is a distinctive type of sword with a curved blade and a hand guard.

The description matches that of the full-size Sikh Kirpan.

Sikh Kirpans on display at Guru Nanak Gurdwara in Leicester. Was s sword like this used to kill Geeta Aulakh?

If Sher Singh (a name which approximately translates as ‘Sikh Lion’) used a Kirpan in this murder, it will increase the impression that Geeta Aulakh was killed for a supposedly religious or cultural motive.

It is worth noting that the Kirpan- one of the 5 ‘K’s that baptised or ‘Khalsa’  Sikhs are obliged to keep- is meant to be used to protect the weak and innocent. Tragically no Kirpan was available to defend Geeta Aulakh when her innocent life depended on it.

Sher Singh, 18, of Wren Avenue, Southall, charged with the murder of Geeta Aulakh

Teenager charged with murder of woman whose hand was severed – Guardian

A teenager has been charged with the murder of radio station receptionist Geeta Aulakh, 28, who was left dying in the street in north-west London with one of her hands cut off.

Sher Singh, 18, of Wren Avenue, Southall was charged with her murder and will appear at Ealing Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

It is now beyond doubt that this crime has its roots within the Asian community. Wren Avenue is minutes away from Sunrise Radio in Southall.

Anyone who is responsible for corrupting Sher Singh – a boy of 18 – into committing such a horrendous act of violence should also be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
